Healing in Light of the Qurʾān and Sunnah, a lecture by Ustādh Rayaan Barker (hafidhahullāh)
- Afflictions wipe away the sins of a Muslim, and Allāh raises a person by way of illness
- Seeking cure by the Qurʾān, legislated ruqyah; using remedies is permitted but not ḥarām remedies
- Tawakkul has two parts: reliance upon Allāh and taking the means
- Diseases are of two types, of the heart and of the body; the heart’s diseases are doubts and desires
- Conditions of ruqyah: recited in Arabic by a person of sound ʿaqīdah, with Shaykh Fawzān and Shaykh Ibn Bāz on how to perform it
- Whoever wears an amulet has fallen into shirk, and ḥarām things such as intoxicants cannot be used as a cure
- Honey (an-Naḥl 16:69) and ḥijāmah as cures
