The distinguishing attributes of the believer, a lecture by Ustādh Rayaan Barker (hafidhahullāh)
- Why knowing the difference between the believer and others is a great question: it separates truth from falsehood and the people of happiness from the people of misery
- The believer’s heart is filled with īmān, knowledge, certainty and tranquillity, and is attached to Allāh alone
- He worships Allāh sincerely and only in the way legislated upon the tongue of the Prophet ﷺ
- He sees no blessing and no honour greater than Islām and īmān, not the pleasures of the dunyā
- The denier’s heart has no ease: he fears losing what he loves of the dunyā and has no īmān to make calamities easy
- The believer loves for the Muslims what he loves for himself, spares them harm from his hand and tongue, and wrongs no one
