• Children are a blessing and a test, and a responsibility to nurture strongly and in detail
• Luqmān’s advice to his son: to know Allāh, to establish the prayer consistently, and to enjoin good and forbid evil
• Luqmān taught his son to be good with people, humble and moderate in walking, and soft in voice
• Parents should help rectify their children’s hearts and keep them from wasting time in front of the TV and games
• What they learn in the madrasah should continue at home; parents should affirm and revise their work and show them good manners
