An explanation of the statement of Al Fudayl bin Iyyad (rahimahullah):
“If I had one supplication that was going to be answered I would make it for the ruler (Imaam), for the wellbeing and righteousness of the Imaam means well being for the land and its people” (Al Nubulaa) is given by Ustadh Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis
Ustadh Uways Taweel also mentions an explanation of the hadith of the Messenger of Allah:
“There will never cease to be a group from my ummah upon the truth, uppermost, they will not be harmed by those who desert them or those who oppose them, until the affair of Allah – The Blessed and Exalted – arrives, and they are in this state” (Muslim 3/1523, Musnad Ahmed 5/278, Abu Dawood 4/42)
