In this beneficial audio, Ustaadh Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq goes through a well-known hadeeth which highlights the importance of our intention when doing an action.

An example of the need for a Muslim to purify their intention is when seeking knowledge. The speaker mentions the methods and benefits of this as an encouraging reminder to the listener.

“Whoever aims to acquire knowledge all at once, it will leave him all at once. Rather knowledge should be acquired over the passage of days and nights”

Ibn Shihab Az-Zuhri

The above benefit is one of the many examples mentioned from Quran, The Sunnah and sayings of the major scholars of Islam, all of which, if noted down or memorised by the listener and acted upon by them will be a source of goodness for them in shaa Allah.

He uses the concise explanation of Sheikh Saalih al Fawzaan to describe to the listener, the major objectives of:

  1. Purifying your intention
  2. Seeking Knowledge
  3. Understanding the fundamentals of the shareeah

All of this is part of his series of classes which goes through the Forty Hadeeth of Imam An-Nawawi.
