Imaam Nawawi’s 40 hadeeth comprises of many benefits related to the creed of a Muslim. Benefits in Hadeeth, Fiqh, purification of the soul, mannerisms of a Muslim and much more.
This compilation of ahadeeth has been given great importance by the Scholars past and present, so much so that almost eight centuries have passed since the death of the Imam and his book is still taught by many Scholars and students of knowledge around the world due to its benefit in the cultivation of a Muslim.

Actions by their intentions – Abu Humayd begins the series by speaking about Imaam Nawawi (rahimahullah), his background, the different sciences he was an Imaam in and the books he authored, such as Riyaadh Ul-Saaliheen. The speaker then explains why the actual number of ahadeeth within the book do not add up to 40 in total, as may be suggested from the title of the book. Abu Humayd (hafidahullah) also speaks about the benefit and virtue of memorising and acting upon 40 hadeeth from the Messenger of Allaah (Salallaahu Alayhi Wasallam).
