Ustaadh Abu Humayd continues on the topic of Ghusl (Islamic bathing), stating when it is obligatory.
There are six cases in which ritual bathing is obligatory; these are:
- ejaculation, whilst asleep (also known as wet dreaming) or awake
- Inserting a man’s penis into a woman’s vulva, even if there is no ejaculation
- When a disbeliever embraces Islaam
- To wash the dead, except for martyrs
- postnatal bleeding
Ustaadh Abu Humayd also discusses some of the differing views regarding having to bathe after washing the deceased, whether it is obligatory or not to bathe on a Friday, and much more.
