Death The Destroyer Of Pleasures Khutbah by Ustadh Abdulilah Lahmami He starts off by pondering over the ayah: كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ – 29:57 Everyone shall taste the death. He then reminds that even the Messenger of Allah sweated صلى الله عليه و سلم and he himself said that death has agonies. He takes about the stages of Man; first a sperm, then a clot of blood, then a chewed piece of flesh… and mentions the Hadith in that regard reported by Ibn Masud. He mentions that your provision is written, and that you should take the means then have trust in Allah. That everyone will have the life appointed to them and no one is guaranteed to reach old age.
